Mrs. Pearle B. Archer, 85, of 266 Maple St., Pleasantville, died Friday evening in her home.
She was born March 14, 1886, at Pineville, the daughter of Philip N. and Samantha Fogle Robinson.
She had lived in the Pleasantville area her entire life. She was the last member of a family of ten children.
She was a member of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church, the Asbury Class of the church, the Womans Society of Christian Service of the church, and the church choir of which she was soloist for many years. She was also a past member of the Eastern Star.
She married Amos H. Archer on July 17, 1907.
Mrs. Archer is survived by her husband; two sons, Phillip R. Archer of Springfield, Va., and Garland C. Archer of Pleasantville; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A daughter, Helen, and a son, Lawrence, died previously.
Friends may call at the Raymond W. Arnold Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there Monday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Henry Shissler, interim pastor of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Pleasantville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Phillip R. Archer, Springfield, Va., and Garland C. Archer of Pleasantville. Seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
A daughter, Helen, and a son, Lawrence, died previously.
Funeral services will be conducted by her pastor, Dr. Henry Shissler, Monday afternoon in Titusville with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville.
The funeral service for Mrs. Pearle Archer was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Raymond W. Arnold Funeral Home. Interim pastor Henry Shissler of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church officiated.
Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery at Pleasantville with the following serving as pallbearers: Dale Kyle, Fred Fogle, Elmer Webber, Howard McFadden, Stanley Goral and Leslie Hasbrouck.
Relatives and friends attending from a distance included: Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Archer, Pamela H. Archer, Mrs. Jeanne A. Ramsey of Springfield, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Howard McFadden, Leslie McFadden, Tammy McFadden, Lori McFadden of Lewistown, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hasbrouck of North East; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clinger of Mayburg, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. William Harper of Oil City; as well as those from Titusville, Pleasantville and the surrounding area.
